When it's February in the U.S., it's Black History Month!

Black History Month, is the month where we consciously and actively celebrate the accomplishments of leaders, thinkers, creatives and Trail Blazers of African American descent. Although Black History Month's origins began in 1915, it became an official national event in 1976 and has been celebrated every February since. The U.S. isn't the only country that celebrate the achievement of Black and Brown history makers. Black History Month is also celebrated in Canada, the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

This year, we have chosen Black History Month as our month long celebration of Black, Indigenous and People of Color across the world. What would a Stitch People celebration be without new patterns? Pretty boring we think. That's why we've been working hard to bring you this amazing new set of patterns featuring just some of the BIPOC who have inspired and influenced us.

In this pattern set you'll not only receive 29 patterns of 29 different influential People of Color, but a full scene of set of never before seen accessories and backgrounds which are significant to that person's story. Each person is also accompanied by a mini bio which we hope will encourage you to look further into how this person has changed the world and inspire you to make your own positive changes!

This pattern set also includes a gorgeous banner pattern in 2 different styles so you can create one big project that includes all 29 figures that we have featured. Stitch and frame this up to take to your school, teach your kids or simply hang up in your home to inspire you everyday.

AND, for the first time, we're including a list of recommended floss colors to use in your stitching.

100% of proceeds from these patterns will be going to Crafting the Future who work to diversify the fields of art, craft and design by connecting BIPOC artists with opportunities that will help them thrive.
